Doyle Nose Bar Height Gauge

Description:  This tool consists of an aluminum base plate which rests on the knife tip and a micrometer thimble and steel base that hooks under the bottom edge of the flat nose bar. It is held flat against the back face of the knife by magnets.

Usage:  As the micrometer is adjusted, the height of the nose bar above the knife tip can be read on the micrometer.

Caution: When using the micrometer do not use excessive force; be gentle.

Benefits: This tool allows a precise vertical nose bar height setting. It allows a parallel bar height setting from operator’s side to tail side.
